The Customary Law Review (CLR) is a peer-reviewed periodical that provides a dynamic platform for the dissemination of ideas on Customary Law or well-known as Adat Law from all parts of the world. In our contemporary globalized world, customary law which had been original part of any country and tradition of indigenious people/area may not be published. So, the CLR is trying to accommodate the hidden side any culture that contains unique customary and its correlation to law in the field.

The CLR, therefore, aims to maintain the discipline of customary law as vigorous and dynamic by deepening the space for scientific work of customary law in its transnational context. CLR is an open access, peer-reviewed and refereed international journal published by the Lembaga Literasi Hukum Indonesia (Indonesian Legal Literacy).

The scope of CLR focuses on customary law which is in general, including the relation of customary law with any aspect of law, such as criminal law, private law, constitutional law, international law, labour law, philosophy of law, as well as history of law.

The journal warmly welcomes contributions from scholars with related disciplines. Novelty and recency of issues, however, are the priority in publishing.
